Dad is going fishing until Sunday night, and before the car pulls away he gives his wife, Riley, a single task: make sure his son, back from college for two days, does not spend the whole time studying. Riley promises to keep him busy, and she means it in a way her husband does not hear.

Over the two free episodes he starts to, mostly because she makes sure of it: pointed questions, a movie night she plans herself and a remark about the way he looks at her.
The tension comes from a short clock and a ringing phone. Two days is all the time they have, and the father is only ever a call away. That makes this a contained, home-alone story with one interruption you can see coming, and a stepmom who decides how fast everything moves.

Episode 1: Two days, one promise (no cost)
Dad says goodbye, says he will be back Sunday night and asks Riley to keep his son from burying himself in books. She assures him she will keep him occupied. Once the door closes, the son tells the viewer what he is facing: two days with his stepmom, Riley Reid. Riley opens with a few questions about college, seems pleased to hear nobody there has caught his eye, then quickly tells him to concentrate on his classes, as if to cover herself.
When she notices his gaze lingering, she says his father never looks at her like that and that she does not mind. She sets up a movie night, lets him choose between horror and action, and mentions that her husband dislikes a lot of the things she enjoys. The son starts asking himself if his stepmom is flirting with him, and Riley ends the episode by offering to tell him what else.
Episode 2: A call from the fishing trip (no cost, account needed)
The movie is on and Riley tells him he only has to say no if he wants her to stop. Then the phone interrupts: Dad is checking in. Riley says the two of them are getting along fine and that she is keeping him company, and the son backs her up. When Dad repeats his worry about the books, Riley answers that his son is learning plenty, and she signs off with a fishing joke.
Later Riley suggests turning in, settles down next to him and makes up a story for bedtime starring a stepmom who drifts around the house in silk. He objects that it is not what the book says; she admits she is inventing it and offers to go back to her own room if he asks. He does not ask. The episode closes on her promise that nobody else has to know.
